The Ripple Effect

What will happen to your business if something happens to you? Or what if you need to take a vacation?

It starts with planning and organizing, and goes from there. I recently sat down with Maggie Patterson from the B-S Free Service Business Podcast and we talked about The Ripple Effect.

The Ripple Effect is what would happen in your business, if something were to happen to you. There are three points that need to be made in order for the Ripple Effect to happen, successfully.

Plan

What's the goal? Or what's the risk? What really needs to happen if something were to happen?

Organize Access and Awareness

Gather all the information together and put it in a place that is easy to find, and in a logical order and logical sense. With organizing iit comes into making that information accessible to others, and making them aware that it exists. Also, it’s letting them know what your expectation is of them in order to take action, and when to take that action.

Accountability

And then lastly, if you know, taking on a task like this can feel a little intimidating, it can be easy to kind of sweep things under the rug or to push things off until the next day, the next week, the next year.

What do I recommend? Have accountability. And so whether that's, somebody else in your organization, maybe it's a business, a business bestie or you know, hiring someone like me to support you and guide you through it, it's having that accountability helps you actually get it done, and keep you accountable to that.

So those are the three things:

Plan

Organize Access and Awareness

Have Accountability
